Indigenous reciprocity

CPZ is sacred to the Očhéthi Šakówiŋ — the Seven Council Fires — and has been held in trust on the Ancestral Lands of Pahá Sápa for twelve thousand years. It is woven into Wiwáŋyaŋg Wačípi (Sun Dance), Haŋbléčheyapi (Vision Quest), and Inípi (Sweat Lodge).

MushTryb operates under an exclusive licensing agreement with the tribe. 25% of profits return to a non-profit run by the tribe.

We are guided in cultural integrity by Reed Brown, Wičháša Wakȟáŋ of the Očhéthi Šakówiŋ and ancestral steward of CPZ — ensuring this knowledge is brought into a modern context with respect and continuity.

Our LLC is also partnered with cultivation enterprises that grow CPZ, manufacturing partners that prepare the sacrament, and the church to which every member belongs.
